Jason Hurd

Hi there!

I came on board full-time with Intrinsic in June 2005, but my heart has been here since I spent the summer of 2004 as an Intrinsic intern. I’ve helped Intrinsic develop and implement public involvement and outreach plans, create and facilitate stakeholder interest groups, and design and deliver presentations state- and nationwide.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Studies from Weber State University in communications, technical writing and psychology. Prior to starting my position with Intrinsic, I worked extensively with various non-profit agencies throughout my educational and professional careers, which provided me with experience in public outreach, media relations, writing and designing promotional materials and organizing special events.

I moved to Flagstaff in August of 2003 from Ogden, in northern Utah, where I was born and raised. My oldest daughter, Emily, an avid artist, graduated from high school in Ogden in spring 2009 and is attending the Art Institute of Salt Lake City. My younger daughter, Alexxanthe, an avid teenager, is attending high school in Ogden. When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family, friends, pets or one of the many wonderful books in the world. When I get out of the house, I like to meander through the forest or cruise the highways of beautiful northern Arizona.
