Intrinsic Engages a National Conversation
12/01/09
In November 2009, Intrinsic was retained by the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) to provide logistical coordination and facilitation for a public meeting with community members from the neighborhoods adjacent to "Refinery Row" in Corpus Christi, TX. The meeting was part of the National Center for Environmental Health (NCED) and ATSDR's joint project titled The National Conversation on Public Health and Chemical Exposures. Approximately 70 community members attended, and Susan effectively facilitated constructive dialogue between the public and ATSDR representatives. This event provided an opportunity for residents to voice their concerns about health risks and provide input into ATSDR's future efforts.
