Guiding Collaboration on the National Planning Rule
5/5/10

The Intrinsic Team partnered with the U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution (USIECR), the USDA Forest Service and Lucy Moore & Associates to assist with public involvement as part of the Forest Service's efforts to develop a new national forest planning rule. Intrinsic conducted outreach to dozens of tribes and stakeholder groups located throughout the Forest Service's Region 3, including Arizona, New Mexico, and a portion of Texas. The Intrinsic Team then facilitated regional roundtable discussions and a public open house in Phoenix, Ariz. Additionally, Dexter and Jason facilitated two tribal roundtable discussions in Phoenix and Flagstaff, Ariz. Once complete, the new nation-wide planning rule will provide the overarching framework for individual forests and grasslands in the National Forest System to use in developing, amending and revising land management plans.

Happy Birthday and Congratulations to Emily!
02/25/10

Jason’s oldest daughter has plenty going on this month. In early February, she was accepted into the Art Institute of Salt Lake City. In mid-February, she announced her wedding date for August 2010. And in late February, she will celebrate her 19th birthday. Needless to say, Jason has been on an emotional roller coaster this month, from pride (early-February) to fear (mid-February) to astonishment (late-February).

The image to right is Emily's self-portrait and her first airbrush piece.

Congratulations Emily!
